2X8 Rafter Span Chart
2X8 Rafter Span Chart - The new peavey’s are cool in the fact that the drivers are angled up at the player. A 2x8 system of similar efficiency, etc. A stacked pair of 2x8 cabs would be even more compact on a small, crowded stage. I’m wondering if folks are using the trace elliot 2x8 cab and digging the tone as much as. A 2x8 would also work nicely for me to. Got some really good advice.
I tried the 2x8 with 1 x12 and rumble head in a local music store and thought it was cool. I posted last month looking for direction on a portable amp that was versatile enough to play out with. My problem however is that for the cost of both cabs ($798) i could buy a lot more cab new or used. The specs (handwritten) on the jack plate are 350 watts and 4ohms. I tried the new peavey 2x8 combo at gc the other day and it was pretty darn good.
Provides more than 25% additional speaker area iirc (didn't actually run the math) and would likely make a great home practice solution that could. Has anyone compared the trace elliot elf 2x8 to the phil jones bass c4 cabinets? A 2x8 would also work nicely for me to. Wondering if any using a 2x8 or 208 cabs as standalone and are still getting decent volume with an even response without sacrificing to much low end?
